We hope this FAQS & QUICK LINKS section provides information to guide you to an informed decision that will help you grow your business.
ASA has three key services:
- Membership
- ASA-100 Accreditation
- ASA Certification Body, operating as ASACB.
These are separate programs with separate fees. Click on the programs below for additional quick links & facts. The menu options above provide more indepth descriptions of each program, terms & conditions, and processes. The two database lists shown below are provided as a quick link convenience.
Services & Descriptions
You can verify ASACB certified organizations to the following standards ISO 9001, ISO 27001, AS9100, AS9110 and AS9120 via the following databases.
- CertSearch – you will be able search all organizations certified to one of the standards listed above.
- OASIS V3 – you will be able to search all organizations certified to AS9100, AS9110 and AS9120.
IAF Certification Validation - IAF CertSearch – you will have to create an account to search this database.
IAQG – International Aerospace Quality Group
– you will have to create an account to search this database. When you get to the main page across the top you will see OASIS place your cursor over the word and click. It will bring you to another page and on the right-hand side of this page you will see Quick Links, click on OASIS the very first option. Then you will be able to create an account and search for any AS9100/AS9110/AS9120 certified organization.
Note: ASA does not manage these lists. It is the responsibility of the certified organization to submit the appropriate documentation.
ASA Manages the FAA AC 00-56 Database on behalf of the FAA.
- Current acceptable quality system standards are ASA-100, ISO 9001, AS9100, AS9120, and AS9110
- The AC requires submission of a database letter and copy of your certificate to be listed - Detailed instructions can be found here.
- It is the responsibility of the audited company (auditee) to submit their letter and certificate.
- The database manager will contact you if you do not meet the requirements.
- Although the list is updated daily, AC 00-56 states that ASA (Database Manager) has up to 10 business days to update the listing.

- Use of any ASA trademark is restricted by ASA. Just because a company is listed on AC 00-56 database does NOT mean the company can use an ASA trademark. If you have any questions about permission to use an ASA trademark, email ASA.
ASA Certification Body (ASACB) is an ANAB accredited provider of management system registrations to ISO 9001, AS9100, AS9110, AS9120, 27001 and can also meet Advisory Circular FAA 00-56 Voluntary Industry Distribution Accreditation Program.

- Steps for Audit Process
- ASACB Application (company survey) - These are more complex audits and requires a company survey in order to provide an accurate quote. Certification audits in general require more preparation which can be further discussed with one of our ASACB team leads. Once the application is received an ASACB team member will contact you within 24 hours. Fees are based on the number of employees, number of locations, required audit days, and auditors to complete the audit.
- Use of any ASA trademark is restricted by ASA. Just because a company is listed on AC 00-56 database does NOT mean the company can use an ASA trademark. If you have any questions about permission to use an ASA trademark, email ASA.

ASA-100 Accreditation is a 36-month Audit Program which meets Advisory Circular FAA 00-56 Voluntary Industry Distribution Accreditation Program. This is a voluntary program that industry helped develop with the FAA to self-regulate with minimal oversight from the FAA.
- Accreditation Fees - Fees are based on the number of employees & number of locations.
- Accreditation Steps
- Audit schedule is approximately 6-8 weeks out, but also depends on your readiness and auditor’s availability. Completing the online ASAAP (ASA-100 Accreditation) application sooner puts you in the scheduling queue earlier, especially if you are eager to receive accreditation. This will allow plenty of time to accomplish pre-audit tasks.
- ASAAP (ASA-100 Accreditation) Application - Once the application is recevied the ASA-100 Program Manager will contact you typically within 24 hours.
- Only ASA can accredit a company to ASA-100.

Membership supports ASA’s Government Affairs program, training/meetings, and communications as it relates to aircraft parts distribution. It also supports ASA-100 Accreditation by keeping member employees informed on issues affecting the aircraft parts distribution community.
