Fraudulent Membership Certificate – Turboshaft FZE

A membership certificate with company name “Turboshaft FZE”, “Member since” date of April 5, 2012 and “Expiration date” of April 1, 2016 was NOT issued by ASA nor signed by Michele Dickstein.

ASA Releases Best Practice for ESD Handling

ASA, using feedback from the industry, has created Best Practices to assist any person who handles aircraft parts including (but not limited to) distributors, air carriers, repair stations, aircraft/engine disassemblers and manufacturers.  ASA has released a Best Practice for ESD Handling.  This BP is the second one released, joining the BP for Disposition of Unsalvageable Aircraft Parts. Both BP's can be viewed on the ASA WebsiteWhile several people contributed to this new BP, a special thanks to Nin George and Roy Resto for their leadership.  A workshop on ESD will be held at the ASA conference.



ASA 2015 Annual Conference – Lee Benson, CEO at Execute to Win Announced as a Special Workshop Speaker!

The full 2015 Conference Program is now available online at http://www.aviationsuppliers.org/ASA-2015---Program. Make sure to check back regularly for updates! Registration remains open throughout the conference. The next rate increase is near, be sure to register by May 28th to receive the current rate. The hotel is sold out on some nights, so be sure to call the hotel directly about availability as the results of cancellations and changes.


 

Quality Committee Meeting – Registration and Agenda Available Online!

The next QC Meeting is scheduled for June 7th at the ASA Annual Conference in Scottsdale, AZ. The meeting will be held at the Hyatt Regency at Gainey Ranch Resort. Unique URL’s on ASA Website for Members

ASA is now offering members the option of having a unique URL linked to their listing in the Membership Directory. For more information and to get your company’s unique URL, contact Dawn Carberry.



ASA is an Accredited Registrar for AS9100 and AS9120

ASA, using the trade name ASACB, is now accredited to conduct AS9100 and AS9120 audits. ASACB’s accreditation is through ANAB and allows ASACB to issue accredited certificates for AS9100 and AS9120 which, among many things, means that the audit results and certificates will be listed in the IAQG OASIS database. If you are interested in an AS9100, AS9120, ISO 9001 or ASA-100 audit, contact the group that knows the aerospace and distribution industry – ASA!



Misuse of ASA Trademark – NEW COMPANY ADDED*

ASA recognizes the value of ASA’s logos for users, and ASA actively protects the Association name and benefits given to its members. There are three different logos, all of which are trademarked: ASA Membership, ASA-100 Accreditation and ASACB. If you see any company using one of ASA's logos illegally, please report them to us and we will determine the best course of action. In addition to checking the Member Directory and ASA-100 list, please visit the Illegal Use of Logo page if you have questions about a company claiming affiliation to ASA.
