ASA NEWS:

ASA Announces Updated On-Line New Member Renewal and Join Process

In the next few weeks, ASA's on-line member application and renewal processes will be completely automated, with the exception of vetting Associate Member applications and non-credit card payments. This change will help protect the integrity of the ASA member certificate. All members will receive a new member certificate. The new certificate doesn't cancel the existing certificate, however companies can start to use their new certificate as soon as it is released.

While companies already have the option of paying on-line, the following will be accomplished upon completion of payment:

  • Immediate issuance of Member Certificate and availability to download via the website (only the primary contact has on-line access to the digital copy)
  • Certificates will include a QR reader Code, so when shared, the recipient can check the code for member status as long as, they have a QR Code reader which is a free download to a smart phone.
  • Renewal notifications will also be automated. Companies will automatically receive notices, and when paid on-line will have access to their new certificate. If companies do not pay by their expiration month, the system will no longer show their on-line company directory listing.
  • There are other enhancements like updating member information and adding additional contacts to receive ASA updates.
