ASACB News!
ASACB Announces
AS9120B Training
ASACB is pleased to announce the
offering of its first workshop on AS9120B to be offered in the United Arab
Emirates on August 25, 2016. The venue for this location is being
finalized and information on the location will be made public within the next
few days.
In keeping with the discussion of transitioning to the new AS9000 series standards the following information is critical to our certified organizations.
To ensure a smooth and timely
transition, The International Aerospace Quality Group that owns the standards
and defines its requirements have issued a document titled Supplemental Rule - 003. This document defines general and
stakeholder rules. The stakeholders are Other Party Assessors (OP),
Accreditation Bodies (AB), Authenticated AQMS Auditors (AEA and AA), Auditor
Authentication Bodies (AAB), Training Provider Authentication Bodies (TPAB),
Training Providers (TP), Certification Bodies (CBs) and Organizations seeking
certification to the new standards. The most current revision of this document is
linked in this bulletin for your review and informational use.
In order to comply with the
supplemental rule, ASACB will be taking the following course of action:
- Notify each certified client of requirements for transition and transition audit process by August 30, 2016.
- Notify each certified client to get a written commitment for transition to the applicable 2016 edition of the applicable AQMS standard. This written agreement must be received by December 1, 2016 to meet a deadline for submission of January 1, 2017 to ASACB's accreditation body ANAB.
- After June 15, 2017 all audits will be performed to new 2016 revisions of the applicable AQMS standards.
- Any client that will not transition prior to September 15, 2017 will have been contacted by ASACB to conduct a risk and mitigation analysis. This will be completed to show ASACB is managing the transition by the deadline date for all its remaining clients.
- ASACB will ensure that all transition audits are completed by June 15, 2018.
- ASACB will not make a transition certification decision after September 14, 2018. Any client that has not transition will be required to go through an initial stage 1 and stage 2 audit in order to gain certification and be listed within the OASIS database.
