Best Practices

Best Practice (BP)

ASA, using feedback from industry, has created Best Practices to assist any person who handles aircraft parts, including (but not limited to) distributors, air carriers, repair stations, aircraft/engine disassemblers and manufacturers. The BPs are intended to address an issue or concern impacting the distribution industry.  Compliance with the BP is voluntary.


ASA Best Practice - Disposition of Unsalvageable Aircraft Parts: This Best Practice has been created by the Association. This document has been created as guidance material for the disposition of scrap and unsalvageable aircraft parts and materials.


ASA Best Practice - Handling of ESD Sensitive Parts for Distributors: This Best Practice has been created by the Association. This document has been created as guidance material for the handling of ESD material at a distributors facility.
