Election for 4 Positions on the ASA Board of Directors
A ballot for the Board of Directors election will be emailed on Friday, September 20, 2013. The election will close September 30, 2013. One vote per member company. A member can select up to 4 persons for the Board of Directors.

Quality Assurance Committee Meeting
The Quality Committee Meeting is scheduled for November 15th at the Hyatt Place Grapevine in Dallas, TX. The hotel is near DFW airport and sponsored by Aircraft Inventory Management & Services, Ltd. Celebrating 20 Years! – News & Information
One of ASA’s main benefits for its members is the amount of news and information we provide through our newsletter “The UPDATE Report”, these monthly Member Bulletin’s, and Member Alerts.
Following the association’s first conference, it was decided that a newsletter was needed in order to keep the members informed of issues impacting aviation distribution. The first “Update Report for Members” was printed and circulated in June 1993 and included articles on regulation, the FAA Parts Approval Action Team, tax developments, and the AIR-D Task Force. Now known as “The UPDATE Report”, ASA’s newsletter is circulated electronically to almost 6,000 members and non-members alike, with more requesting distribution after each issue. To keep with the times of technology, ASA has an online community including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and two blogs featuring the writings of industry veterans Roy Resto (CAVU Café: Royboy’s Prose & Cons) and Jason Dickstein (ASA Web Log).
Along with all of this, ASA Members have the benefit of receiving news via monthly Member Bulletins and immediate Member Alerts as news happens.
Unique URL’s on ASA Website for Members
ASA is now offering members the option of having a unique URL linked to their listing in the Membership Directory. For more information and to get your company’s unique URL, contact Dawn Carberry.
ASA is an Accredited Registrar for AS9100 and AS9120
ASA, using the trade name ASACB, is now accredited to conduct AS9100 and AS9120 audits. ASACB’s accreditation is through ANAB and allows ASACB to issue accredited certificates for AS9100 and AS9120 which, among many things, means that the audit results and certificates will be listed in the IAQG OASIS database. If you are interested in an AS9100, AS9120, ISO 9001 or ASA-100 audit, contact the group that knows the aerospace and distribution industry – ASA!
Misuse of ASA Trademark
ASA recognizes the value of ASA’s logos for users, and ASA actively protects the Association name and benefits given to its members. There are three different logos, all of which are trademarked: ASA Membership, ASA-100 Accreditation and ASACB. If you see any company using one of ASA's logos illegally, please report them to us and we will determine the best course of action. In addition to checking the Member Directory and ASA-100 list, please visit the Illegal Use of Logo page if you have questions about a company claiming affiliation to ASA.
