Celebrating 20 Years! – 1995 Aviation Safety Hearing
Among ASA’s initial goals was to “create a voice for aftermarket suppliers within the aerospace and aviation industry for dealing with various industry issues” (Ed Glueckler). One of these issues included unapproved aircraft parts and the lack of industry notification and follow up regarding the sale of unapproved parts. On May 24, 1995, an Aviation Safety Hearing concerning unapproved aircraft parts was held and shown on CSPAN. You can view the hearing here. ASA founder and President at that time, Ed Glueckler, was among the witnesses and he can be seen on the panel that begins around the two (2) hour mark of the video.
Unique URL’s on ASA Website for Members
ASA is now offering members the option of having a unique URL linked to their listing in the Membership Directory. For more information and to get your company’s unique URL, contact Dawn Carberry.
ASA is an Accredited Registrar for AS9100 and AS9120
ASA, using the trade name ASACB, is now accredited to conduct AS9100 and AS9120 audits. ASACB’s accreditation is through ANAB and allows ASACB to issue accredited certificates for AS9100 and AS9120 which, among many things, means that the audit results and certificates will be listed in the IAQG OASIS database. If you are interested in an AS9100, AS9120, ISO 9001 or ASA-100 audit, contact the group that knows the aerospace and distribution industry – ASA!
