Make sure to check the program page regularly for updates! The hotel is basically sold out, but be sure to call hotel directly about availability as the results of cancellations and changes. Registration remains open through the conference. Register before the next rate change on June 6th to save!  



Hazmat Training Class – ONLINE for Certificate Renewal May 22nd
The U.S. Department of Transportation requires all individuals engaged in handling hazardous materials to be trained at least once every three years. If you are currently certified and need to renew, Washington Aviation Group is conducting a special one-day WebEx for certificate renewal to which ASA Members receive discounted registration for the low price of $200! Registration is open for May 22nd. 2 New Unapproved Parts Notifications

Two Unapproved Parts Notifications have been released:

  • Ameri-King Corporation manufactured and sold multi-axis G-switches and associated mounting trays without FAA production approval.

  • Boeing Aircraft: Unapproved parts were advertised on the internet under the caption “65,000 military and commercial aircraft parts for sale”. Parts were listed for models 707, 717, 727, 737, 747, 757, 767, 777 and KC-135 Military Parts.

 

 

Quality Assurance Committee Meeting

The next QA Meeting will take place during the ASA 2014 Annual Conference in Washington, DC. The QA Meeting is scheduled for June 15th. Separate registration is required and Now Open. All members are welcomed to attend and inquiries can be sent to Stephanie Brown.

Unique URL’s on ASA Website for Members

ASA is now offering members the option of having a unique URL linked to their listing in the Membership Directory. For more information and to  get your company’s unique URL, contact Dawn Carberry.



ASA is an Accredited Registrar for AS9100 and AS9120

ASA, using the trade name ASACB, is now accredited to conduct AS9100 and AS9120 audits. ASACB’s accreditation is through ANAB and allows ASACB to issue accredited certificates for AS9100 and AS9120 which, among many things, means that the audit results and certificates will be listed in the IAQG OASIS database. If you are interested in an AS9100, AS9120, ISO 9001 or ASA-100 audit, contact the group that knows the aerospace and distribution industry – ASA!

ASA recognizes the value of ASA’s logos for users, and ASA actively protects the Association name and benefits given to its members. There are three different logos, all of which are trademarked: ASA Membership, ASA-100 Accreditation and ASACB. If you see any company using one of ASA's logos illegally, please report them to us and we will determine the best course of action. In addition to checking the Member Directory and ASA-100 list, please visit the Illegal Use of Logo page if you have questions about a company claiming affiliation to ASA.
