About the Session: Differentiating between regulatory and commercial documentation. How do new 'standards' of documentation become the norm? Who is making the request? Can new documentation requirements/requests be applied to existing engines? Are minimum levels of acceptability being pushed too high? Is 'back to birth' documentation really achievable? Why are we still living in a forest of paperwork, what is slowing the move to digital? (and would it really make life easier?)

ISO News!!
Are You Currently ISO Certified?
If yes, then you need to start to plan for transition to ISO 9001:2015. ASA has information on the differences between ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 9001:2015; transition timelines; FAQs and suggested objective evidence to support transition.
AS9100, AS9110, and AS9120 News
All three standards will be revised to reflect the release of ISO 9001:2015 and additional changes. The timeframe for transitioning will be shorter than the ISO 9001:2015 Transition timeframe of 9/15/2018. The Aerospace timeframe is expected to be 6/15/2018. The RMC working group plans to release the revised standards in April 2016 along with SR-003 which will detail the transition process. ASA attends these meetings and will be providing information to the membership and its ASACB clients.
