Fraud Alert – Global Aviation Solutions, Inc. – Forest Hills, NY
ASA sent out a Fraud Alert earlier this month regarding Global Aviation Solutions, Inc. and their apparent forgery of an ASA-100 certificate. ASA has begun the process of taking legal action against this company. They are not ASA Accredited nor have they ever had any affiliation with ASA.

TSA Releases 145 Security Rules
The new Repair Station Security rule, which will allow the FAA to restart the issuing of foreign repair station certificates, is set to be published on Monday. Find out what is included in the rule and take part in the conversation over at the ASA Web Blog.

A new Unapproved Parts Notification has been released:
- Aircraft Engine Controls: GE engine controls (FADEC), part number 4120TOOP12DT, Serial numbers LMDL0123 and LMDL0145. Manufactured by General Electric Company and produced without FAA production approval.

ASA 2014 Annual Conference

Unique URL’s on ASA Website for Members
ASA is now offering members the option of having a unique URL linked to their listing in the Membership Directory. For more information and to get your company’s unique URL, contact Dawn Carberry.
ASA is an Accredited Registrar for AS9100 and AS9120
ASA, using the trade name ASACB, is now accredited to conduct AS9100 and AS9120 audits. ASACB’s accreditation is through ANAB and allows ASACB to issue accredited certificates for AS9100 and AS9120 which, among many things, means that the audit results and certificates will be listed in the IAQG OASIS database. If you are interested in an AS9100, AS9120, ISO 9001 or ASA-100 audit, contact the group that knows the aerospace and distribution industry – ASA!
