ASA Board of Directors Appoints Grace Regillo, Manager,
Strategic Sourcing, Air Canada Maintenance to the ASA Board of Directors
ASA is pleased to announce the appointment of Grace Regillo to the ASA Board of Directors. Ms. Regillo has been with Air Canada for nearly 20 years. She currently leads and manages strategic sourcing projects for numerous Air Canada Maintenance acquisitions of products and services. This includes the Request for Proposal Process, Negotiations and the Completion of Agreements.The ASA Board of Director appointment is for one year, and as per the ASA bylaws can be extended for an additional year.

ASA Accreditation Program - ASA-100!
ASA Quality Committee discussed 8
proposed changes to ASA-100. Two of the
changes were advanced to the ASA Board of Directors, who on February 5th
approved the changes. The changes will
be released as Letter of Interpretation (LI) and incorporated at the next
release of ASA-100. The new LIs will be
placed on the ASA website and emailed to all ASA-100 companies and Quality
Committee attendees.

Are you currently using an ASA-100 Checklist as part of your vendor approval process? Ever complete an ASA-100 checklist as part of an approval process. ASA has updated a collapsed ASA-100 checklist for use in the vendor approval process. This is not required and was created at request of companies looking for a clean 4.0 PDF fillable version.
CAR Form Instructions
and Sample Forms
ASA-100's corrective action process has changed. CAR form instructions and sample forms have been created by the ASA staff and auditors. These documents are meant as aids in understanding expectations for closing a CAR. The samples forms are examples and companies may use them as guides. These documents will be on the website by January 19th.

ASACB News!!
ASA Certification Body (ASACB) offering
certifications to ISO 9001:2008, ISO 9001:2015, AS9100 and AS9120
ASACB is now offering certification to ISO 9001:2015. ASACB has filed an application for AS9110 and will announce as soon as the application process is complete. There are numerous changes in the ISO world and those changes will be discussed during an online training session to be held on February 29th. This will start a series of training for ISO transition for current ASACB companies.
AS9100,
AS9110, and AS9120 News
All three standards
will be revised to reflect the release of ISO 9001:2015 and additional
changes. The timeframe for transitioning
will be shorter than the ISO 9001:2015 transition timeframe of
9/15/2018. The Aerospace timeframe is expected to be 6/15/2018. The RMC working
group plans to release the revised standards in April 2016 along with SR-003
which will detail the transition process.ASA attends these meetings and will be providing information to the
membership and its ASACB clients.
