The first chapter of our story , called Something from Nothing, was about creating the technology and proving to ourselves that it worked. With many a mistake along the way and more than a few proverbial rabbit holes, we were ready to move on to our next chapter – Going to Market. Spec Tool manufactures a variety of aerospace specialty tooling. We started as a small company born in a garage in Walker, MI back in 1968. Due to the success of the business, in 1985, we had to build a larger facility located in Sparta, MI. We have grown to an operating size of approximately 100 team members! Our current facility has close to 36,000 sq. ft. to house this amazing crew.
